Ladislav Krejci stepped out on to the pitch as a Wolves player for the first time against Newcastle United.
It may not have been a debut to remember with the game ending in a 1-0 defeat for Wolves, but the Czech international can still take many positives away from his performance.
Fans were eager to see the new man in action after he was an unused substitute in their last match against Everton.
The player is primarily a defender, but Krejci does have the skillset for midfield, and that is where he started against Newcastle.
After the game, Vitor Pereira sent a message to Wolves fans, but supporters have also been reacting to their new signing’s debut.

Wolves fans excited by Ladislav Krejci debut
Ladislav Krejci spoke after the Newcastle game, and said he felt Wolves put in the hard work to get a result in the game.
However, Wolves fans are also doing a lot of talking, as they have taken to social media to discuss the versatile player’s performance.
The overall consensus from the Old Gold fan base appears to be positive.
One fan said, “Krejci is already my new favourite player.”
While another stated, “Krejci is an upgrade on what we have, either in midfield or defence, future captain.”
Another Wolves fan said, “In my opinion, Krejci was man of the match for us today. He looked composed and comfortable on the ball, especially after getting a booking after seven minutes. If he’s not starting in centre midfield he needs to be one of the three centre-backs.”
This sentiment was echoed by another fan who said, “Krejci oozes ability and class.”

One Wolves fan also said, “I remember seeing at least one tactico tweet that there’s absolutely no way Krejci is a midfield option as he hasn’t played there since he was at Sparta. I thought he was one of our better players yesterday and a great versatile option.”
It was certainly a solid showing for Ladislav Krejci in the eyes of Wolves supporters.
The Czech international will be hoping to use this as a base to continue and improve throughout his Wolves career.

Ladislav Krejci’s stats vs Newcastle United
It was a tough day for all involved against Newcastle United, and Ladislav Krejci had it no different.
While he impressed fans of his new club, his stats show that it was a difficult day at the office for the Czech.
Krejci had the fewest touches (42) of any player to play 90 minutes, so he did not often get into the game on the ball.
However, he was still comfortable on the ball when he did and looked to progress it any chance he got, and ended with an 84% passing accuracy.
He won his only tackle attempted and came out on top in three out of five of his ground duels.
On top of this, he did well defensively considering he picked up a yellow card in just the sixth minute of the game. Krejci was composed enough to avoid a second booking.
It was certainly a positive debut for Krejci.
