Wolves fans all in agreement about Pablo Sarabia after Crystal Palace, one thing is clear

Wolves fans were left disappointed by the performance of Pablo Sarabia in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

Wolves knew that anything other than three points against Palace wasn’t enough and unfortunately, that is the scenario that played out.

The visitors were unfortunate not to take the lead in the first half as Jean-Philippe Mateta missed multiple opportunities to score.

But once they made amends in the 60th minute, as Trevoh Chalobah struck a superb half-volley into the back of the net, Gary O’Neil knew he had to make some changes.

One of those was the decision to take off Pablo Sarabia, who missed two golden opportunities in the match and replaced him with Goncalo Guedes.

Wolves equalised after Matheus Cunha played in Jorgen Strand Larsen before Guedes set up Joao Gomes for the goal that could have won them the game.

However, the visitors equalised moments later through Marc Guehi as the spoils were shared and the hosts made it 10 Premier League games this term without a win.

Supporters were left unhappy leaving Molineux and with the performance of Sarabia.

Wolves fans angered by Pablo Sarabia against Crystal Palace

Sarabia was starting his first Premier League game of the season after impressing off the bench against Brighton as Wolves produced a stunning comeback.

Andy Thompson even labelled Sarabia as ‘quality’ after the game, with many feeling he was deserving of a start at home to Palace.

However, after watching his performance in the match – as Wolves extended their winless run in the league – many supporters are now left unconvinced by the 32-year-old.

One supporter said: “Sarabia & Nouri have been absolutely rancid tonight.”

“Pablo Sarabia needs hauling off at this point,” another added.

“Sarabia has been absolutely woeful tonight,” a third commented.

A fifth exclaimed: “Sarabia has to score there!”, referencing the chance that Sarabia missed in the first half.

“Another sitter missed by Sarabia from a Cunha ball,” a sixth added.

Sarabia stats vs Crystal Palace

Sarabia earned the opportunity to start on the right wing after his display against Brighton however, the Spaniard didn’t cover himself in glory, with supporters perhaps now wanting him dropped.

Aside from missing two golden chances, the former PSG man also completed just 69% of his passes, as per Sofascore, and made no key passes or accurate crosses during his 60 minutes on the pitch.

It’s a level of display that has put his position in the starting XI in jeopardy after only just getting the call and with Sevilla interested in Sarabia, maybe Wolves will offload him in January.
