Wolves fan groups now share new protest plans against Fosun as Brentford at Molineux loom

Wolves are taking on Brentford at Molineux this weekend – and fan groups have shared details of a new demonstration against Fosun.

Wolves will go in search of their first win in the Premier League at the 17th time of asking, and hopefully, the players will replicate the level they showed against Arsenal.

Despite the defeat, Wanderers did well against the Premier League leaders and were very unlucky not to come away with a point.

Can the fans really force a Fosun sale?

It’s onto Brentford now, and it’s a return to Molineux to face the Bees, who are going OK under Keith Andrews with 20 points on the board so far. They are seven clear of the relegation zone.

With Wolves being back at Molineux, it means there will be another good opportunity for fans to voice their displeasure about Fosun – and new plans by fan groups have now been shared.

There were powerful scenes during Wolves’ last home game with Manchester United, as fans congregated outside the Billy Wright Stand ahead of kick-off.

Supporters then entered the ground 15 minutes into the game, and there was constant chanting against Fosun and Jeff Shi during the game.

‘Fosun Out’ and ‘Shi Out’ banners were also seen.

Fosun did not directly respond to the fan protests. But days later, Shi and sporting director Matt Jackson did an interview with BBC Radio West Midlands that did not go down at all well.

Shi’s tone really irked fans, especially his remark about relegation only being a ‘technical’ term.

Fan groups warned that they won’t stay quiet, and now there’s information regarding a new demonstration against Fosun.

Old Gold Pack have set up a website that will allow fans to print off a sign saying ‘Our Club’ along with the accompanying slogan, ‘Out of Darkness, Cometh Light’.

Their statement reads: “OUR CLUB. OUR VOICE. If you care about the future of our club, make yourself seen. At Molineux, in the 18th and 77th minutes, hold up your ‘OUR CLUB’ sign. Show ’em what it means to be WULFRUNIAN.”

The statement has been backed by nine other Wolves fan groups; Wolves 1877 Trust, Talking Wolves, Wolves Fancast, The Wolves Report, Wolves 77 Club, Always Wolves, Punjabi Wolves, The Wolfpack, and Wolf Whistle.

Another uncomfortable afternoon awaits Fosun

The message after Fosun didn’t respond to fan groups last week was that they would not stay silent – and the latest protest plans could result in another uncomfortable afternoon for the owners.

It remains to be seen if there will be more demonstrations outside Molineux like there were against United.

But this has the potential to really make some headlines if enough people print off these signs.

The Shi interview last weekend made many fans even more furious, so quite possibly there could be a sea of signs on show during the game with Brentford.
