Monday night’s Molineux protests were a key moment in Wolves’ nightmare season.
It was a routine night in terms of the actual football, with Wolves suffering another emphatic defeat.
Wolves fans boycotted the first 15 minutes of the Man United game, electing to stay outside the stadium and voice their dissatisfaction with the ownership.
Since then, Jamie Carragher has joined in on the Fosun criticism and a wider conversation is being had about the negative direction of travel in recent seasons.
That conversation, it seems, has not reached the right people.
Tim Spiers has hit the nail on the head, hasn’t he Wolves fans?
What Fosun have done is unforgivable 😤
Spokesperson for the OGP fan group on the response from Wolves
The Old Gold Pack fan group were the driving force behind the protest.
Spokesperson Kieran Newey recently discussed the fallout with E&S, and exactly what has come of their efforts.
Asked if anyone from the club has reached out, he says: “Not yet, and that’s disappointing. Why don’t they acknowledge the noise and come out publicly?
“Fans have tried to engage for a while yet they pick and choose who to speak to privately, and this silence only deepens the disconnect. We hope this sparks dialogue, because ignoring supporters isn’t going to work.”
It’s not like Fosun don’t recognise what’s happening with the Wolves fanbase. It was impossible not to get the message.

The fact that they have yet to address it is just more of the same behaviour that has disillusioned the match-going fans.
This Wolves stand is far from over
Newey is happy with how the protests unfolded, but he’s not satisfied.
Fosun already knew their popularity was waning — it’s just that now they can’t ignore it.
He continues: “It was a small win in what we know will be a longer battle. The aim was to make our concerns visible, and we did that. It was powerful to see so many fans united and willing to take part.
“The message that Wolves should be run with ambition, pride, and values was heard loud and clear. Now we need to build on that momentum. We’re not going away. We’ve got plenty of ideas and growing support to push forward.”
Can the fans really force a Fosun sale?
This is as tense a time as we’ve experienced at Molineux since Fosun’s arrival, and by the sounds of it, that tension is only going to ramp up in the coming weeks.
