Wolves Europa League news: 2nd qualifying round opponent and date

Wolves are back in a major European competition for the first time in nearly 40-years; PSV Eindhoven knocked Wolves out of the UEFA Cup back in 1980.

To qualify for the Europa League group stages, Nuno’s team must surpass the second qualifying round.

The second qualifying round is a two-legged tie that will take place on July 25 and August 1 respectively, and Molineux’s pack will know who they’re facing after the draw on June 19.

Wolves will also compete for the Premier League Asia trophy in July.

Nanjing and Shanghai will host the tournament, and its Wolves’ first ever visit to China.

Manchester City will face West Ham in the Semi-finals, meanwhile Wolves will face Newcastle United on July 17.

Provided Wolves win, they will face the other victor in the final on July 20.
