Wolves drop important Jorgen Strand Larsen injury update

Wolves are preparing to travel to the south coast to take on European hopefuls Bournemouth.

Despite Wolves losing 2-1 to Liverpool last time out, Vitor Pereira will be confident his side’s second-half performance can inspire their sixth win of the season against the Cherries on Saturday.

And the Wolves manager’s hopes have also been boosted after one player appears to have returned to training following a spell out injured.

Jorgen Strand Larsen back in Wolves training

Jorgen Strand Larsen injured his hamstring against Arsenal last month. The Norwegian was ruled out for several weeks.

Although it was expected he could miss Wolves’ next four matches, including this weekend’s game against Bournemouth, the club have hinted the striker could be available after posting an image of him in training.

Perfect timing

Strand Larsen is unlikely to be named in Pereira’s starting 11 against Bournemouth, but there is hope he could return to the bench.

Perfect timing following Hwang hee-Chan’s injury and Goncalo Guedes and Pablo Sarabia’s poor form.

Although Wolves fell to a 4-2 defeat during Strand Larsen’s only appearance against the Cherries, the Norwegian did net both of his side’s two goals — a good omen ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Wolves have the better head-to-head record against Bournemouth and with Leicester City hosting Brentford on Friday, they could extend their points tally to 22 points.
