The defeat to Liverpool was disappointing, especially after a second-half performance that deserved to get something out of the game, but Wolves have now suffered another major blow with Manchester United on the horizon.
2025 has not been a good year for Wolves, and with the final game of the calendar year up next, Rob Edwards will be looking to bring some joy.
The Old Gold were decimated in the second half of the reverse fixture just a few weeks back, and Edwards would have been hoping for all of his key players to be available.
In that 4-1 loss, Wolves were without Joao Gomes, and when they travel to Old Trafford, they’ll be without another key man.
Agree or Disagree: Tolu Arokodare MUST be Wolves’ starting striker going forward! 🤔
He offered more up front vs Liverpool than Strand Larsen has for most of the season.
Andre is suspended for Manchester United clash

Wolves are going through what is sort of a mini-crisis in terms of player availability. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s and Marshall Munetsi’s injuries have left them light in midfield.
Meanwhile, Toti Gomes’ injury and Emmanuel Agbadou’s AFCON participation have dwindled their options at the back.
However, when Wolves face Manchester United, those issues are going to be intensified with one player not available for selection.
Andre picked up his fifth yellow card of the season, and that has now ruled him out due to suspension on Tuesday.
Finish the sentence: Rob Edwards should play ______ in midfield alongside Joao Gomes vs Man United.
His options are slim without Andre.
With a lack of options for midfield and defence, Rob Edwards has a big decision to make, as one player who could replace Andre may also be needed in the backline.
Selection headaches are the last thing the head coach will want, but Arne Slot’s admission could force him to start two players on Tuesday.
Ladislav Krejci must play in midfield

Ladislav Krejci is the only realistic option to partner Joao Gomes in midfield on Tuesday, but the Czech is also needed in defence with the absence of Toti and Agbadou.
This has left Rob Edwards in a tough position, especially with the fitness of Yerson Mosquera unknown. The Colombian was withdrawn with 79 minutes played in what looked like an injury.
Hopefully, it is nothing serious, and he can make the quick turnaround for Tuesday.
In the case he is fit, a central defence of Mosquera, Santiago Bueno, and Matt Doherty seems the only plausible line-up, with Ladislav Krejci slotting into midfield.
It is not ideal when you have limited selections.
