The start to Wolves’ season has been historic in all of the wrong ways.
When they lost to Everton in the Premier League, Wolves became the first side to record an unwanted stat.
Additionally, when they fell to defeat at St James’ Park against Newcastle, a 127-year Wolves record was broken, and not in a good way.
This season has had all the hallmarks of the Old Gold being relegated, but the recent performance against Tottenham has provided hope.
Supporters will no doubt know that Brighton will be yet another tough test, and if they fail to avoid defeat, another historical record will be set.
And it won’t be one that Vitor Pereira will want.

Wolves are in line to set a record for the first time in English top-flight history
Last season, Wolves failed to win any of their opening four games at Molineux, and so far, they are following the same trend this season.
Defeats at home to Manchester City, Everton and Leeds have left them without a point at their own ground so far this season.
The poor form has now put the Old Gold in danger of setting a record they wish they did not have.
Wolves can become the first side to lose their opening four home games in English top-flight history in back-to-back seasons, as per the BBC.

It is something Pereira has not had a complete hand in setting, given that Gary O’Neil was in charge at the beginning of last campaign, but nonetheless, his side has contributed to making this a real possibility.
The Opta supercomputer has not given Wolves a good chance at winning, so all signs currently point towards history being made for all the wrong reasons.
Additionally, Danny Welbeck will want to improve on his great record against Wolves.
Brighton will be a real test of whether Wolves have truly turned a corner
The performance against Tottenham provided a lot of hope for Wolves this season.
There were a lot of promising displays, with Jhon Arias finally coming into his own. The Colombian won man-of-the-match in an exceptional showing.
Wolves deserved to win, and it was their best game of the season by far. However, it remains to be seen whether this was a one-off victory or a sign of a turnaround.
Brighton are a quality side, and another strong performance will no doubt provide some confidence following the international break no matter the result.
Avoiding defeat would be an unbelievable result for Wolves and would also stop them from making unwanted history.
