Nuno Espirito Santo will go down as one of Wolves’ best managers, certainly in the modern era at least, but his former club could deliver a brutal blow to him.
The former Old Gold man is currently in charge of West Ham, after being sacked by Nottingham Forest earlier in the season.
He has been tasked with bringing the Hammers out of the relegation zone, but like Wolves, they have quite the task.
Since taking over, he has just won two games in the Premier League, and with a game against the Wanderers on the horizon, his future could be decided by his past employers.

Nuno Espirito Santo in the firing line at West Ham
Life at West Ham has not been smooth for Nuno Espirito Santo, as the Hammers are rooted among the relegation candidates.
His inability to claw the Irons out of the drop zone has now put his job at the club in danger, despite only joining just a few months back.
According to talkSPORT, Espirito Santo needs to turn the club’s form around quickly, with West Ham reportedly considering letting him go if he fails to do so.

Where do you rank Nuno Espirito Santo among former Wolves managers?
Surely he has to be near the top 💭
The London club face Brighton on Tuesday evening but follow that up with a clash against the Wanderers on Saturday.
You would suspect that failing to win against a side rooted firmly in last place, who have gone 18 games without a win, could signal a blow that West Ham simply could not ignore.
While he was once a hero at Molineux, Nuno’s future may now be decided by his former side once again. However, he might fancy his chances.

Nuno Espirito Santo has never lost against Wolves

Ever since leaving the Wanderers back in 2021, Nuno Espirito Santo has faced his former club on five occasions, and in those games, he has yet to lose.
His record stands at three wins and two draws, with the most recent result being a 3-0 victory at Molineux with Nottingham Forest last season.
If his future is on the line, and with Wolves being in the form they are in, Nuno must be confident about his chances of picking up three points when they clash on Saturday.
It is certainly a good opportunity for him to secure his place in the West Ham dugout, but Wolves will have no sympathy for their former manager as they seek a win of their own.
However, maybe if things do not work out with Edwards, and Nuno leaves West Ham, a reunion at Molineux could be on the cards.
The Portuguese’s return to the Wanderers in the future has not been ruled out.
