It is fair to say that plenty of Wolves’ first-team has been fantastic this season. For a team that was tipped to be in a relegation battle, the club sit comfortably midtable under Gary O’Neil

This has seen plenty of memorable results including Wolves finally beating West Brom at the Hawthorns in the FA Cup.

However, despite this success, some of the Wolves coaching staff remain surprisingly unconvinced with their number one Jose Sa. They believe that the Portuguese international’s ability with his feet as well as his distribution lets him down.

Wolves outcast on his way out?

Despite of the success this season, Wolves will have plenty of players they will happily get rid of this summer.

Many of these find themselves out on loan with Fabio Silva recently finding himself at Scottish side Rangers. 

However, perhaps a forgotten Wolves man is Goncalo Guedes. The Portuguese winger had a short spell in the Molineux first team but now finds himself on loan to Villareal. 

Now it is believed that the Spanish side are looking to make this move permanent as long as certain conditions are met.

Johnny Phillips makes a surprising claim

For fans looking back on the 2023/24 campaign, many will see it as a success. What O’Neil has done is nothing short of a miracle considering the timing of the appointment with the state the club were in.

Many arguments can be made about how he has achieved this, with many pointing to the team cohesion off and on the pitch.

However, journalist Johnny Phillips has made the surprising claim that some of the squad do not ‘get on’.
