Rob Edwards needs his first Wolves win, and he could hardly have been given a better opponent to do it against.
Nottingham Forest come to Molineux on Wednesday night for some midweek Premier League action.
The home side won’t be at full strength, with Ladislav Krejci ruled out for Wolves.
Edwards is likely to make some changes to the XI that put up a respectable fight against Aston Villa on Saturday.
And the Wolves boss will feel empowered to go and get a result, especially given his track record against the opposing manager.
Wolves will not enjoy their 7.30 pm kick-off time against Nottingham Forest…😟
Rob Edwards has an excellent record against Sean Dyche
Wolves fans will be desperate for any bit of hope to cling onto as they brace for another nervy evening out at Molineux.
Well, Edwards hasn’t lost to Sean Dyche on the three occasions they have faced off.
Dyche was one of just two managers not to beat Luton in 2023/24 when Edwards was in charge (1D, 1L) — the other being Eddie Howe at Newcastle.

Luton went to Goodison and won 2-1 in September, and the reverse fixture at Kenilworth Road finished all square.
But that’s not all. Everton and Luton faced off again in the fourth round of the FA Cup, where Edwards beat Dyche on his home turf yet again.
Wolves will want revenge for last season
You might remember a rather unpleasant afternoon back in January when Forest came to Molineux and won 3-0, with former Wolves star Morgan Gibbs-White drawing first blood.

Maybe you’ve scrubbed it from memory, but many of the Wolves players will remember it vividly.
They won’t want a repeat this season.
If Edwards can find the same joy against Dyche as he did two seasons ago, it will give Wolves every chance of finding retribution.
