Julen Lopetegui surprised reporters and journalists at his press conference today by buying them pizzas.
The Wolves manager made the gesture after his side kept a clean sheet against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
The Spaniard told everyone ‘this is for the clean sheet’ (via Liam Keen).
According to the Daily Mirror’s James Nursey, Lopetegui’s gesture came as a result of a bet.
It was reported recently that Lopetegui is keen to reward his players when they keen a clean sheet.
Apparently, he takes the squad out for dinner when they get a shutout. He pays for the meals himself, it has been claimed.
Lopetegui also holds team building days, ‘some of which have included the players’ families’.
Clearly, the boss is keen to spread the goodwill beyond just his players.
Wolves are taking on Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this weekend.
Wanderers will be hopeful of winning the game having just beaten Spurs 1-0.

Lopetegui had changed things up at half-time, bringing on Nathan Collins to form a back three. That really helped Wolves gain control of the match and contributed to the clean sheet.
Another clean sheet on Sunday would be fantastic, and something those journalists will now very much have their fingers crossed over and not just the players.
