Wolves have joined the race for Tromso midfielder Jens Hjertø-Dahl, but face competition from Nuno Espirito Santo.
As Wolves brace for the devastation that is relegation, eyes are already on the summer transfer window.
It will be one of the biggest in the club’s history, as a big rebuild will be required if relegation does happen, as expected.
Recruitment ahead of playing in the Championship will be more important than ever, and Wolves have to ensure they are well prepared if they’re going to bounce back at the first time of asking.
And it seems Wolves are looking to sign Tromsø midfielder Jens Hjertø-Dahl, according to a report from TV2.
But they aren’t the only club in the mix.
Wolves and West Ham tracking Jens Hjertø-Dahl ahead of summer window

Hjertø-Dahl is being closely monitored by Premier League clubs after establishing himself as a key figure at Tromsø.
His performances have pushed him onto a number of recruitment lists in England.
Wolves like the player, but West Ham United are also in the mix, with both clubs wanting midfield reinforcements ahead of the summer window.
Wolves could well lose Joao Gomes and Andre in a few months, and possibly Angel Gomes as well.
The competition between the two sides is grounded in clear squad needs, with both teams lacking a consistent presence capable of dictating play from deeper positions. That overlap in recruitment focus has seemingly now placed Hjertø-Dahl at the centre of a developing transfer contest.
TV2 say Hamburg, Sporting CP and Benfica are also interested in Hjertø-Dahl.
Jens Hjertø-Dahl has drawn comparisons to Nemanja Matic
Hjertø-Dahl has already been compared to Nemanja Matic, as per Get Football News Italy, with his role defined by control rather than attacking output.
In an exciting verdict, they said of him last December: “Hjertø-Dahl embodies the current Premier League trend for central players who combine imposing physical presence with high-level technical ability.
“He has been praised for his unusual blend of size and skill, offering both steel and finesse in the middle of the park.
“Furthermore, his exceptional calmness, vision, and positional discipline have drawn comparisons to the intelligent playstyle of former Premier League star Nemanja Matic.”

GFNI also described Hjertø-Dahl as ‘one of Scandinavia’s most compelling young midfielders, boasting a unique physical and technical profile that makes him an ideal target for the modern English game’.
With Wolves looking at relegation, it could well be a difficult task to sign Hjertø-Dahl this summer.
And if Nuno can keep West Ham up, there’s every chance the young Norwegian could join him at the London Stadium.
