Wolves ace Santi Bueno shares seven-word response after Luis Suarez sends message on social media

Wolves defender Santi Bueno has been in touch with Luis Suarez on social media.

Gary O’Neil will have enjoyed his time in the United States with Wolves as his side recorded two wins from their three friendlies.

The tour concluded in the early hours of Sunday morning, seeing Champions League side RB Leipzig lose 3-0 to the Old Gold in what was an impressive performance.

A Pablo Sarabia brace and a goal for Rodrigo Gomes decided the scoreline, ending the fun-filled US tour in style.

Santi Bueno sends message to Luis Suarez as Wolves US pre-season tour concludes

One of the thrilling parts of the tour was Wolves’ opportunity to train at Inter Miami’s training ground, where Lionel Messi was present for a moment.

The World Cup winner wasn’t the only world star on the scene in the States, as fellow Inter Miami ace Luis Suarez met up with international teammate Santi Bueno

On Instagram, Suarez posted a photo of himself and Bueno swapping a Wolves shirt for an Inter Miami one.

The former Liverpool marksman penned a short message to the defender that read, “Nice to see you. Thanks for the shirt and good luck in the future.”

Bueno responded to his countryman with, “Nice reunion. Thanks to you and success.”

Wolves were fortunate that Suarez only came up against the club once in his career in Europe, where he inevitably scored.

As the 37-year-old prepares for the season ahead with Inter Miami, Bueno will be hoping to find his feet at Molineux after arriving last summer.

Huge season ahead for Bueno at Wolves

It’s fair to say that Bueno’s debut campaign at Wolves went far from what would have been hoped.

The 25-year-old secured only 12 appearances in the Premier League for O’Neil’s side, as he struggled to move up the pecking order in defence.

Next term, Bueno will certainly hope to earn the chance to make more of an impact at Molineux, with glimpses of his full ability shown during pre-season.

Now that Max Kilman has departed, the Uruguay international could be in with a greater chance of maximising his game time next season, with O’Neil having four centre-backs to switch between.

It will be interesting to see what the season has in store for Bueno, who will be recharged and ready to fight after a successful pre-season in Miami.
