Ladislav Krejci will be nice and fresh for Rob Edwards’ first game as Wolves boss after playing zero minutes during the international break.
Wolves’ summer signings have been largely disappointing so far this season, but Ladislav Krejci is just about the only exception.
The defender joined on a £6 million loan fee, and his move will be made permanent for a further £20 million if he meets certain clauses in his deal.

Despite only joining recently, Ladislav Krejci was one of three players who went up to the South Bank and properly took in the responses from fans during the incident after the Burnley defeat.
He really is leading from the front, both with his performances and leadership qualities.
Ladislav Krejci suspended for Czech Republic’s win over Gibraltar
Many Wolves fans were worried that an injury may have occurred to Krejci after seeing him absent from the Czech Republic’s squad to face Gibraltar.
However, that wasn’t the case, as Krejci was simply serving a suspension.
This was stated in the press by Czech coach Jaroslav Kostl.
“Ladislav Krejčí is missing from the centre-backs, who has played in all four competitive matches in England since the last meeting.
“We proceeded in the same way as in September with Vladimír Coufal. Láďa has the cards, and since we will play one qualifying match, we let him rest. He will focus on the program in Wolverhampton. But he is the leader of the national team and certainly has a place in the team for the play-offs.”
Ladislav Krejci’s importance to Wolves this season
Ladislav Krejci has an even bigger part to play under Rob Edwards at Wolves.
He’s already shown his versatility, operating at the heart of the defence and in the middle of midfield when called upon by Vitor Pereira. And, more often than not, Krejci has been the standout performer.
Who has been Wolves’ best signing this season?
His role under Rob Edwards, who normally leans on a five-at-the-back formation, will likely be at the heart of the defence in a role that could see him advance.
And, it also wouldn’t come as a surprise if Edwards called him into a potential leadership group in the Wolves dressing room, as he’s already earned the respect of his teammates.
