Wolves are set for a busy window ahead, and it seems like Domenico Teti will be the man to guide them this summer.
Matheus Cunha’s departure hasn’t been the only Molineux exit in recent weeks, with sporting director Matt Hobbs also leaving Wolves.
Hobbs had been in the role since November 2022, enjoying success with a string of clever transfers.
His title of sporting director, though, is now set to be abolished, as Wolves enter talks with Domenico Teti to become the club’s new technical director.
With not much known about Teti, Molineux News thought it would be worthwhile taking a closer look at the new member of the Wolves hierarchy.

Domenico Teti age
Domenico Teti is currently 48 years old at the time of writing. His date of birth is July 7, 1976.
What is Domenico Teti’s nationality?
Teti is Italian, having been born in the famous city of Milan. He began his footballing career in his home country before going to work at clubs across Europe.
Domenico Teti career
Domenico Teti initially began his footballing career in the dugout as an academy manager at Italian outfit Hellas Verona.
After a season in the dugout, Teti would move up to boardroom level at various clubs up and down the footballing ladder in Italy.
He would enjoy success particularly at Sampdoria, before eventually deciding to leave his home country in 2018, in a move to APOEL Nicosia.
Two years in Cyprus would then be followed by a stint in Saudi Arabia at Al-Shabab – a time during which he actually worked with current Wolves boss Vitor Pereira.

Domenico Teti past signings
Hobbs made several clever signings at Wolves, and fans will be hoping Teti can do the same at Molineux.
With this in mind, supporters will be encouraged to hear that the Italian has made a number of astute signings throughout his career.
For example, while at Sampdoria during the 2011/12 season, he helped facilitate the arrivals of Mauro Icardi, Shkodran Mustafi, Graziano Pelle and Sergio Romero – four players who would enjoy much success at the club.
More recently, while at Al-Shabab, Teti signed former Wolves star Daniel Podence, as well as former Rangers and Leeds midfielder Glen Kamara.
Domenico Teti and Vitor Pereira partnership
It is important to note that Domenico Teti was actually the man who appointed Pereira at his last club, Al-Shabab.
Given that the pair have worked so closely previously, this is a potential appointment that could see Pereira gain more control over transfers.
