2024 is ending on a high for Wolves, which is a surprise given how much the club were struggling only a matter of weeks ago.
Wolves’ relegation concerns are far from over however, Vitor Pereira’s arrival has impacted the squad in the most positive of ways.
The Old Gold sacked Gary O’Neil after losing late to Ipswich Town, seeing Pereira take the reins days later.
Pereira has made Wolves history by remaining undefeated in his opening three games as manager, leading the pack to two wins and a draw in the Premier League.

Wolves finish 16th in the Premier League table for 2024
Pereira’s arrival has been a breath of fresh air for the Wolves squad, who are relishing the positivity installed by the Portuguese.
After 19 games played, the Old Gold sit 17th in the table, two points above safety thanks to three much-needed results to step outside of the bottom three.
Given the talent that Wolves have, there’s hope that the squad finish far higher than 17th by May but for now, being out of the relegation zone is a relief in itself.
As the year comes to a close, the annual Premier League table has taken shape, with Wolves finishing in 16th place, losing a staggering 21 of 37 games.

Every defeat came under O’Neil, who some believe his exit came too late, putting pressure on Pereira to right the Englishman’s wrongs to ensure Wolves are safe.
Much more to come for Wolves under Vitor Pereira
Out of the 34 games managed by O’Neil in 2024, Wolves lost an eye-watering 61.7% of their league fixtures with the former boss in charge.
Fortunately, gone are the days of fans dreading watching O’Neil’s side, as Pereira continues to impress.
Where O’Neil lost a hefty percentage of his games at Wolves this year, Pereira has lost 0, remaining undefeated from his opening three fixtures in charge.
The former Al-Shabab manager has made an astonishing impression in the West Midlands and long may his influence continue.
