Being a Premier League club means Wolves spend millions on agent fees.
Clubs, especially those in the top flight, pay millions year-on-year to agencies to ensure they can access the very best talent available.
Not only do clubs, once a deal for a player to move has been agreed, have to pay another club a transfer fee, but they also have to pay the player’s representatives a commission fee.

FA release club’s agent fee spending
The FA have released their latest financial figures from February 2024 – February 2025.
These figures show how much money clubs have assigned to agents and agencies for a player’s transfer between the close of the 2024 winter window and 2025 winter window.
After spending £14 million (rounded to the nearest million), Wolves rank 13th among the Premier League’s 20 clubs.
Club | Net total to nearest million (£) |
Chelsea | 60 million |
Man City | 52 million |
Man United | 33 million |
Aston Villa | 25 million |
Newcastle | 24 million |
Arsenal | 23 million |
Liverpool | 21 million |
West Ham | 19 million |
Spurs | 18 million |
Brighton | 17 million |
Bournemouth | 16 million |
Brentford | 15 million |
Wolves | 14 million |
Nott’m Forest | 13 million |
Fulham | 13 million |
Crystal Palace | 12 million |
Leicester | 10 million |
Everton | 9 million |
Southampton | 9 million |
Ipswich | 6 million |
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea are the country’s top spenders when it comes to agent fees. The London-based giants spent a whopping £60 million on agent fees between February 2024 – February 2025.
Everton (£9 million), Southampton (£9 million) and Ipswich (£6 million) are the three lowest.
Wolves one of the Premier League’s lowest-spenders on agent fees
As the figures above show, Wolves are within the bottom half of the country’s highest spenders — a table supporters won’t mind looking at.
Since the start of the 2024 winter window, Wolves have signed eight players permanently.
Player | Window | Fee (£) |
Emmanuel Agbadou | Winter 2025 | £16.6 million |
Marshall Munetsi | Winter 2025 | £16.6 million |
Nasser Djiga | Winter 2025 | £10 million |
Andre | Winter 2024 | £21 million |
Rodrigo Gomes | Winter 2024 | £12.7 million |
Sam Johnstone | Winter 2024 | £10 million |
Tommy Doyle | Winter 2024 | £4.3 million |
Bastien Meupiyou | Winter 2024 | £4.2 million |
After spending just shy of £96 million on transfers in the past three windows, agent fees make up 15% of Wolves’ total spend.
Interestingly, Nottingham Forest (£13 million), Fulham (£13 million) and Crystal Palace (£12 million) have all spent less on agent’s fees than Fosun but sit a lot higher in the Premier League this season, proving good recruitment isn’t always limited to the clubs willing to spend the most.
