Wolves have a huge decision to make on the future of forward Fabio Silva as the summer transfer window approaches.
At the start of the campaign, the majority of Wolves fans wanted the 22-year-old to depart permanently after a terrible first four years at Molineux.
The Portuguese under-21 star netted just five goals in 72 appearances for the club, with Silva failing to repay his £35 million price tag.
Silva’s misfortune continued last term as he struggled on loan at Rangers. However, a temporary move to Las Palmas in the summer of 2024 has been the catalyst to get him back on track and truly showcase his talent.
Now, after scoring eight goals in 22 appearances for the Spanish side, there have been talks of the forward returning to play under Vitor Pereira at Wolves next term.

How Wolves currently feel about the future of Fabio Silva
Since seeing his goalscoring powers come to life in Spain, Silva has attracted the attention of some European heavyweights.
It was reported that Atletico Madrid are interested in Silva, seeing the Portuguese sharpshooter as a potential quality striker.
Meanwhile, it has also been claimed that Silva wants to leave Wolves in the summer transfer window and remain in Spain after impressing in La Liga.
However, speaking exclusively to Molineux News, TBR’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey has offered an insight into the situation and suggests that, while Wolves are ‘keeping an eye’ on the players’ progress, they don’t see him staying in Wolverhampton.
“They feel he will stay in Spain but Wolves are keeping an eye on how he’s doing. He’s playing really well,” Bailey said.
“Whilst I don’t think he will end up back at Molineux, it’s not something that Wolves would dismiss out of hand. The way he’s playing, they’re not going to let him go for nothing.
Bailey, though, does concede that the emergence of Pereira as manager makes it an ‘interesting’ scenario.
“He hasn’t worked with Vitor Pereira, it’s an interesting one, it’s one for consideration and one that will be talked about.”
Silva has already made feelings about Wolves future clear
Although it would be fascinating to see Silva work under Pereira and see if he can transform him into a Premier League-level striker, the reality is far from that.
As stated above, the Portuguese star wishes to depart Molineux in 2025, something they can’t prevent him from doing.
In an interview last summer, Silva said he regretted joining Wolves in the first place and didn’t feel it was the right time as an 18-year-old.
“I knew it wasn’t the right time,” he said. “It wasn’t my intention to go to Wolverhampton at that time, I wanted to stay one or two more years at FC Porto. I was almost forced.
“They told me that if I didn’t go, they would force me to play in the reserve team, that if I didn’t go I wouldn’t help the club, because they didn’t have any money… There was no way out. There was no way out.”
And when asked about where he sees his Wolves future, the striker said: “It’s no secret that I don’t want to stay at Wolverhampton. We both agree, now we have to try to find the best situation for both of us to be happy.”
