Just two weeks remain in the summer transfer window, and Wolves’ top priority is to bring in a new centre-back.
Wanderers have endured a tough summer in the window so far.
The club are focusing on trying to turn a significant profit.
A host of players have already been old.
And there could be a couple more outgoings in the next two weeks.
It has been a very frustrating time for supporters, who have been clamouring for new faces.
So far, only Tom King and Matt Doherty have come in on frees.
But Wolves are hopeful of bringing in a centre-half, and there has been an update on Wolves’ pursuit of the Borussia Monchengladbach defender Nico Elvedi.
Wolves’ top priority is to land a centre-back, but Nico Elvedi currently unaffordable
Right now, the ‘top priority’ for Wolves is to sign a new centre-half, according to The Athletic.

The is the most important thing on the agenda for Wolves, who currently only have three options in Craig Dawson, Max Kilman and Toti Gomes.
The publication mention that Elvedi is a target for the club.
But at present, Wolves cannot afford to pay what Gladbach are asking.
The Switzerland international is said to be valued at around £10 million.
It is stated that Wolves could sell Daniel Podence and Jonny Castro Otto in order to fund a move for Elvedi.
Podence has just been linked with a move to Celtic. But there have been no reports of interest from other clubs in Jonny so far.
A centre-back is a must
A new centre-back coming in is an absolute must for Wolves.
It’s tricky because the financial situation is obviously a big concern.
But Wanderers have got to find a way of bringing someone of decent quality in.

Elvedi looks a really decent player, who only has one year left on his contract. But even despite that, Wolves are struggling to afford him.
But Gary O’Neil can’t proceed with just three central defenders.
So if it means selling Podence and Jonny to get Elvedi, then so be it.
