Wolves produced a stunning performance out of nowhere to thrash Fulham 4-1 and move out of the relegation zone.
Some pundits gave the visitors no chance before the match, with Paul Merson predicting Fulham to beat Wolves at Craven Cottage.
But Gary O’Neil’s men, who had Santiago Bueno, Craig Dawson and Pablo Sarabia all out absent with injury or illness, proved the doubters wrong with an emphatic victory.
Matheus Cunha stole the show with an incredible performance as he scored twice and assisted Joao Gomes before Goncalo Guedes added the icing on the cake.
Wolves fans compared Cunha to Dennis Bergkamp after his deft lob in the first half as the 25-year-old showcased his unbelievable quality once more.
However, whilst one current Wolves hero sent the away end into pandemonium, supporters still showed their appreciation towards former Molineux icon Raul Jimenez.

What Wolves fans chanted about Raul Jimenez during Fulham win
It isn’t often that former players get such a high level of appreciation from the away supporters but in the case of Jimenez, Wolves fans still think of him fondly.
The Mexican became one of the greatest strikers in the club’s recent history as he helped fire the Old Gold into Europe on two occasions.
Including 23 assists, Jimenez scored 57 goals in 166 appearances for Wolves across five years and he left in 2023 to join Fulham alongside Adama Traore.
Now, to show appreciation for what he achieved during his time in gold, the away end sang loud and proud to his ‘Si Senor’ chant which became famous among Wolves fans.
The lyrics read: “There’s something that the Wolves want you to know. The best in the world and he comes from Mexico. Our number nine, give him the ball and he’ll score every time. Si señor, give the ball to Raúl and he will score…”
Where Jimenez ranks among Wolves best strikers in the Premier League
A new star is emerging at Molineux in the shape of Cunha, whose performances progressively get more special as the weeks go by.
But, there is no debating that Jimenez is the greatest striker Wolves have had during the Premier League era, netting almost double the total of the player second on the list.
Player name | Goals |
Raul Jimenez | 40 |
Steven Fletcher | 22 |
Ruben Neves | 21 |
Matheus Cunha | 21 |
Hwang Hee-chan | 20 |
Kevin Doyle | 18 |
Diogo Jota | 16 |
Matt Jarvis | 15 |

Jimenez is sitting pretty at the top but Cunha, who is currently on 21 goals, can make serious ground on the Mexican this term if he carries on his rich vein of form.
