Marshall Munetsi is officially a Wolves player after completing a deadline-day transfer to Molineux.
Signed from Stade Reims, Wolves completed a raid on the Ligue 1 side this winter, capturing both Munetsi and defender Emmanuel Agbadou.
Munetsi signed on a three-and-a-half-year deal to bolster Vitor Pereira’s midfield, bringing fine form with him having contributed to six goals in 2024/25.
The Old Gold had their transfer requests met at long last, with Munetsi fulfilling a dream by signing for Wolves.

Matt Hobbs gives early insight into Wolves signing Marshall Munetsi
It was a busy deadline day for Wolves, who welcomed two players in Munetsi and Red Star Belgrade centre-back Nasser Djiga.
Wolves worked hard to capture Munetsi, travelling to France to ensure the deal was tied up before Monday night’s transfer deadline.
Fortunately, the transfer was completed and the Old Gold now have a midfielder to strengthen their ranks, with high hopes already evident around Compton Park.
Speaking to Wolves’ official website after unveiling Munetsi, sporting director Matt Hobbs shared what fans can expect from the former Ligue 1 midfielder.
“It was important for us that Vitor has a number of options in each position and Marshall is a well-rounded midfielder who is physically up for the challenge of the Premier League,” Hobbs said.
The sporting director then went on to predict an easy transition period for the new arrival, thanks to his relationship with former teammate Agbadou.
“Marshall’s played with Agba, who has settled quickly into the group, and now he’ll have the support of everyone here at the club. He’ll be another option for Vitor and we’re looking forward to having him as part of the club.”
Stade Reims will miss Munetsi
For many, playing in the Premier League is a career dream, with Munetsi the latest to fulfil such aspiration.
It was only in 2019 that the midfielder made the move to Europe, signing for Reims from South African side Orlando Pirates.
Statistic | Average | Rank at Reims |
Goals | 4 | 2nd |
Assists | 2 | 2nd |
Shots | 1.7 | 2nd |

It’s rare that a player rises through the ranks so quickly in his career however, the numbers present just how Munetsi has paved the way for himself to the Premier League.
Reims will miss their midfielder desperately, as the 28-year-old was a top contributor to their squad in a range of areas, also hinting at what he could offer to Wolves.
Signing Munetsi was a must and now, the Old Gold can enjoy their new signing having worked hard to complete the deadline day deal.
