Wolves star Pablo Sarabia may well be playing his final games for the club, with his contract up at the end of the season.
The Spaniard will be departing as things currently stand, and it’s currently unclear whether Wolves will look to offer him an extension.
Sarabia is said to be on ‘eye-watering’ money at Wolves, and there have been suggestions the club want his wages off the bill.
But we have seen him make important contributions, so it’s not out of the question could try to keep him but on lower wages.
But of course, it’s doubtful Pablo Sarabia would want to stick around to earn less money – especially as he is not a guaranteed starter.
Sarabia’s time at Wolves has been very interesting. Undoubtedly, he’s an extremely talented player, but Wolves fans have also found him frustrating at times.
His lack of consistency has meant he hasn’t always been in the team.
But that’s never been something that has affected Sarabia, with journalist Liam Keen sharing what he knows of the player behind the scenes.
Pablo Sarabia has been ‘very, very good’ behind the scenes at Wolves

Sarabia has definitely provided Wolves fans with some brilliant moments in his spell at Molineux.
The volley against Tottenham last season was perhaps his biggest highlight, and the free-kick last weekend against Manchester United was another reminder of his technical brilliance.
Some feel overall though, that it has been a slightly underwhelming stint for Sarabia.
While that is the feeling for some, journalist Liam Keen has praised the Spaniard for the way he has conducted himself behind the scenes the whole time.
He said on the latest E&S podcast: “I’ve said this all along as well, as much as we’ve been objective in our analysis of him as a player, one thing we’ve always maintained, and we’ve always said it on this podcast is as a professional, he’s been very, very good. .
“He’s very good behind the scenes, he doesn’t kick up a fuss. Obviously he wants to play more, of course he does, but he’s someone that very much puts the team first.
“That’s always been the message I’ve had from people at Wolves and behind the scenes and my own experiences of being around Pablo Sarabia. I think there’s a lot to be said for that, I think that’s really important to mention.
“If he does go in the summer, then having a couple of lasting memories will be nice for him.”
Sarabia could prove to be a big loss for Wolves
The expectation is that Sarabia will leave Wolves when his contract ends.
Some won’t mind him moving on too much, but we’ve all seen what Sarabia can offer – it’s just that we probably haven’t seen it as often as we should have.
But Wolves may struggle to replace Sarabia if he does go, because of his ability to make things happen out of nothing.
Pablo Sarabia for Wolves in all competitions (January 2023-present) |
Appearances – 73 |
Goals – 8 |
Assists – 12 |

He brings that creativity, with data from this season indicating his created five big chances in just nine starts.
Sarabia is also clearly someone who is good for the dressing room based off Keen’s verdict, so that’s another negative point of him going.
