Wolves will be looking to continue their upward momentum in 2025 when they host Nottingham Forest on Monday night.
Since Vitor Pereira arrived in the middle of December, Wolves have secured two wins and one draw, seeing them rise out of the relegation zone.
The Old Gold have been much improved under the Portuguese, even keeping two clean sheets. However, they arguably face their toughest yet on Monday in the shape of Nottingham Forest.
The Reds, managed by former boss Nuno Espirito Santo, are flying high in third place in the Premier League table.
Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
3 | 19 | 11 | 4 | 4 | 26 | 19 | 7 | 37 |
Nuno deserves huge credit for completely turning around the club’s fortunes, having finished just above the bottom three last season.
Paul Merson expects Forest to beat Wolves however, the Forest boss isn’t taking his former side lightly.

Nuno Espirito Santo praises Vitor Pereira as ‘very good’
Once Pereira was announced as Wolves manager, Nuno congratulated him, wishing the 56-year-old well on his first time in the Premier League.
Now, ahead of the clash at Molineux, Nuno has praised his Portuguese compatriot as ‘very good’ while expecting a tough challenge.
“It’s too soon to see the change,” he said on Forest’s YouTube channel. “You can see the players, the look and the results help; the performances help.
“I know Vitor from a long time ago, the beginning of our careers. He’s had a very good career as a manager. We expect a tough match against good teams. Wolves have a very good squad.”
With Forest flying high in the top flight, few anticipate the Wanderers continuing their unbeaten run however, recent history suggests a tight contest.
Wolves H2H record vs Nottingham Forest
Wolves, who will be without the suspended Matheus Cunha, will hope their other players can step up and produce a moment of brilliance.
Jorgen Strand Larsen scored the equaliser against Spurs, with the Norwegian now ushering further scoring responsibility on Monday.
In terms of recent form, Forest of course edge it but in this fixture, Wolves have the better overall record with 63 wins to their opponent’s 45.
Meanwhile, their previous four matches have all ended in draws, which suggests there could be fine margins in this game.
