Wolves fans have had little to shout about during the summer transfer window, but the signing of Fer Lopez has filled supporters with some excitement.
Lopez was signed for £19.5 million from Celta Vigo in June, becoming Vitor Pereira’s first capture this summer.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a solid start to pre-season, with Lopez impressing against CD Santa Clara and creating a partnership with forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The Spaniard has since featured in draws against Burnley and Stoke City and will be hoping to play a prominent role in the clash with RC Lens on Wednesday evening.
Ahead of their campaign kicking off at home to Manchester City, Lopez has already noticed one thing about the Wolves fans.

Fer Lopez says the fans in England are ‘crazy’
Lopez was compared to Jude Bellingham after completing his transfer from Celta Vigo, and supporters will hope he can instantly adapt to the Premier League.
The fleet-footed winger joins Jhon Arias in hoping to impress Pereira with his ability, something he wants to showcase to the Wolves fans.
Before anything was finalised, Strand Larsen played a role in Lopez joining, as the pair were pictured together on holiday.
And according to the youngster, Strand Larsen told him about how ‘crazy’ the fans are in England, raising his excitement levels to play at Molineux.
“I like to watch a lot because the fans are crazy in England,” Lopez told the E&S. “The fans at Celta were great also, but Jorgen told me that the fans here in England are crazy, in a very good way.”
The level of support from fans in England was one major factor in Lopez making the switch, and now, he will be praying to have an instant impact.
What advice Vitor Pereira has given to Lopez
For someone of Lopez’s lack of experience, having only made 20 senior competitive appearances for Celta Vigo, the wisdom and tactical expertise of Pereira will be important.
Speaking about the advice he’s already given him during pre-season, Lopez said of Pereira: “He’s been talking to me about exactly what he wants me to do without the ball, with the ball, explaining to me how he plays.
“I’m starting to acknowledge that and I’m trying to do it as quickly as possible, to settle in as quickly as possible.
“I’ve also seen his work in the past with a lot of young players.
“Maybe it’s hard to adapt at the beginning, but I think that if you work hard, you’re going to have the opportunities with the manager. The only thing we can ask for is opportunities.”
Pereira has already developed multiple youngsters into better players, most notably Rodrigo Gomes, and Lopez could be the latest to benefit from his excellent man management.
