The mood at Wolves right now is the best it has been for some time.
Back in December, the club were in a world of trouble and sat in the relegation zone, after a torrid run of results and performances under Gary O’Neil.
Fans were extremely agitated about the state of play, and very few actually backed Wolves to survive.
But Wolves made a decision that could now prove to be the most important in years.
Vitor Pereira was hired as O’Neil’s successor following the Englishman’s sacking, and he has completely changed the picture at Molineux.
Pereira has managed to guide Wolves to safety with ease in the end.
And one of the reasons he’s been able to do that is by creating a sense of togetherness at Wolves – and that will see chairman Jeff Shi do something quite interesting this summer.
Jeff Shi to give up his office at Wolves’ training ground

Sky Sports have run a very interesting piece about the changes that have occurred behind the scenes at Wolves on Pereira’s watch.
The Portuguese has placed a huge emphasis on togetherness and camaraderie. Recently, a framed photo was hung at Compton of Wolves’ celebrations against Tottenham Hotspur.
In theory, the better the feeling away from the pitch, the more likely it is that the players will perform to their best on it.
And even chairman Jeff Shi is buying into that.
It is stated at the bottom of Sky’s report that Shi will give up the office he has at Compton Park this summer, so that a players’ lounge can be formed instead.
One key figure is quoted as saying: “Sometimes you need some trouble to make you realise you need to evolve.”
One Pack mentality is key for Wolves
At the time of O’Neil’s sacking, things were pretty bad at Wolves.
Players were losing their heads and it was clear that everything was a bit all over the place.
Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |

16 | 35 | 11 | 5 | 19 | 63 | 57 | 6 | 38 |
But Pereira has come in, and got everyone pulling in the same direction again, and has really embraced the One Pack mentality Wolves pride themselves on.
Wolves can have all the talented players at their disposal. But that will count for nothing if the dynamics are not right behind the scenes, and it’s been clear to see that Pereira recognised that very early on.
