Jeff Shi has spoken out publicly for the first time since September as Wolves look destined for relegation.
The club’s executive chairman has been the subject of recent protests by fans that are looking for change at the top level.
Fans believe that the running of the club by Jeff Shi, appointed by Fosun, has led the club to the position they are in now.
Shi is not a popular figure at Molineux, and with the impending likelihood of relegation, he has not done himself any favours.
Jeff Shi’s latest verdict on relegation will certainly not go down well.

Jeff Shi plays down the seriousness of Wolves getting relegated
Jeff Shi sat down with BBC West Midlands to discuss the concerns of fans this season and the current situation at Wolves. The executive chairman was also joined by Matt Jackson.
Talk about relegation was sure to be on the agenda, and it was, and Jeff Shi’s comment about going down or staying up will leave a bad taste in the mouths of fans.
The owner did admit staying up is important but also played down the financial impact of relegation and suggested inside the club, ‘It’s not that serious.’
Shi said, “Of course, it is important, and because it will incur different revenue for one year, but in the meantime, inside the club, it is not as serious as some of the views from outside.”
What are your honest thoughts on Jeff Shi after his claim about relegation for Wolves? Let us know below!
Yes. He actually said this…
For supporters, the identity of the club as a Premier League side is an important topic, and that comment will no doubt infuriate many.
Financial stability is important, but playing down the possibility only due to the financials is showing once again why fans want Shi to step down or be replaced.

Jeff Shi proving himself to be out of touch once again

The comment by Jeff Shi about relegation not being serious can only be described as out of touch.
While fans want their club to be financially stable and have long-term sustainability, they do not want that to come at the cost of their status in England’s top flight.
Supporters invest not only their money but also their time and emotions into following the club.
They want their club to be as successful as possible, and right now Jeff Shi and Fosun are not living up to those expectations.
Dismissing such a prospect as trivial shows a major lack of understanding from Jeff Shi and proves that the chairman is completely out of touch with Wolves fans.
The financial situation might not be as bad as people will point out, but relegation is serious no matter which way you spin it.
