But the Old Gold were made to pay for their wastefulness in front of goal, and it was Boubacar Kamara who was the difference-maker.

The midfielder rifled in an effort from the edge of the box, and it was just a performance that we have seen so often in recent times.

On social media, fans have expressed their frustrations about the result with Wolves dropping two points – but several were being complimentary about Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

Bellegarde was back in the starting XI today having been on the bench for Edwards’ first game.

He replaced Marshall Munetsi, and mainly operated from the inside left position, which he had great success in last season in the absence of Matheus Cunha.

Wolves have had creativity issues this season, and Bellegarde is someone who’s been capable of making things happen in the final third.

Today, the Haiti international had a decent game, and created one golden chance in particular for Jorgen Strand Larsen, who had the ball nicked away from him.

But there was frustration when he was taken off on 70 minutes and replaced by Tawanda Chirewa.

Bellegarde must play every game for Wolves

Bellegarde did well today, on what was another frustrating outing for Wolves.

Not only did Bellegarde look the most likely player to create today for Wolves, he also did his defensive duties, with Sofascore data showing he won 7/10 of his duels.

Bellegarde is not Cunha. But it’s clear at this point that he suits that inside left role, and is capable of making things happen with his ball carrying. Either from the left side or in the middle

Given how similar Andre and Joao Gomes are, it is essential that Bellegarde also plays. Otherwise, the players in the box are going to be starved of service.
