What Fer Lopez just posted on Instagram while in Marbella will delight Wolves fans and Vitor Pereira

We are now into July, and Wolves have made just the one new signing so far this summer with Fer Lopez arriving from Celta Vigo.

The Spaniard came in a couple of weeks ago, with Wolves raiding Celta Vigo for the second consecutive summer after signing Jorgen Strand Larsen in 2024.

The hopes are high over Lopez.

The 21-year-old is not seen as a replacement for Matheus Cunha, but someone who could become another really exciting talent.

Steve Bull has urged patience over Lopez, insisting that he is not a successor for the Brazilian.

But hopefully, it won’t take him too long to get up to speed and adapt to the English game – and Lopez is already getting himself prepared.

Lopez has come across very well so far.

Wolves documented his first day at the club when he signed, and he carried himself with real confidence.

One got the sense that he is genuinely excited to play for Wolves, and that was evident with Lopez’s reaction to seeing Molineux for the first time.

The Wolves players will report back for pre-season next week, but it seems Lopez has already been ticking himself over to keep himself in good shape ready to make an impact.

Yesterday, Lopez posted footage to his Instagram Story of him doing a shooting drill out in Marbella. He was being put through his paces by Samuel Mellgar of the SCM Sports Agency.

The ball is fed to him and then makes space away from the training dummies before either taking a shot or rounding the goalkeeper.

And there were some very good finishes from Lopez, including a terrific dink into the far corner with the outside of his foot.

This is exactly the kind of thing you want to see from a new signing.

It’s likely that several other players have been keeping themselves ticking over during the summer.

But regardless, it’s still good to see Lopez getting his eye in – and that left foot of his certainly looks like it could be a real weapon for Wolves.

Lopez will need time to adapt at Wolves.

But all the signs are there that he could be a real popular figure at Molineux.
