Max Kilman has been speaking about new Wolves signing Jean-Ricner Bellegarde – and has admitted he has looked very good in training.
The Frenchman was Wolves’ final signing of the summer window.
He came in from Strasbourg for a fee of just under £13 million. Wolves officials had to fly out to France to complete the move given time was running out on deadline day.
The deal got done, and Bellegarde made his debut for the club on Saturday against Liverpool.
And the 25-year-old gave a great account of himself at Molineux.
And the performance perhaps didn’t come as a surprise to Kilman, who’s been training with him for the past two weeks…
Max Kilman impressed by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde in Wolves training
Wolves had a number of players away on international duty.

But Kilman was one of a handful of players to stay behind. As was Bellegarde, who is as yet uncapped for France.
The Molineux captain has therefore been able to get a good look at his new teammate. And he’s liked what he has seen.
He said (Express & Star): “We’ve been watching him train the last couple of weeks and he’s been brilliant. That was expected from him (against Liverpool). We knew what a player we had and he’s going to help us a lot this season.
“He’s very quiet, a very nice guy, like a number of players we have in this squad. We just need to keep working together as a squad and the results and performances will come.”
Bellegarde looks great after only a few weeks at the club
All the noise about Bellegarde so far has been very encouraging.
Gary O’Neil has also praised the midfielder a couple of times already. And it’s clear that he has made a good early impression.

And you would imagine he is only going to get better the more he gets to know his new teammates and the manager’s tactics.
Hopefully Bellegarde, who Wolves actually tried to sign in January, will soon become a key man in midfield and perhaps chip in with a few goals and assists.
