‘We have no luck’ – Wolves fans all left devastated by huge injury blow, it could cost Vitor Pereira

Everything needs to perfectly fall into place for Wolves to survive relegation this term, but unfortunately, their survival chances have been dealt a huge blow.

Wolves are involved in a three-team battle to avoid dropping into the Championship. Vitor Pereira’s men are sat just outside the relegation zone but Ipswich Town and Leicester City are hot on their heels.

The Old Gold produced an encouraging performance last time out against Liverpool despite losing 2-1 at Anfield, restricting Arne Slot’s men to zero shots in the second half.

Opta have predicted Wolves to narrowly avoid relegation ahead of their rivals but one major injury blow could see the pendulum swing in the opposite direction.

Wolves fans react to devastating Emmanuel Agbadou injury blow

The January transfer window saw Wolves sign three players and one of those has been a gem in Emmanuel Agbadou, who has been dubbed ‘unbelievable’ for his displays.

He’s slotted seamlessly into the back line, becoming a rock in the heart of the defence and arguably the most important player at the back.

Unfortunately, Pereira’s world came crashing down when Agbadou suffered a muscular injury against Liverpool, forcing him off the pitch on the hour mark.

Now, it’s been revealed that Agbadou could be out for three to four weeks with the problem, dealing Wolves a huge blow and leaving supporters devastated.

“We have no luck as a football club, without our best cb now in the most important part of the season,” one fan wrote.

“One week without something going wrong is all I ask,” another responded while a third replied to the news: “We are going down.”

Some fans are seeing it as an opportunity for £10m signing Nasser Djiga to step up, as he hasn’t featured since arriving at Molineux.

“Time for the Djiga man then,” one fan said while another replied: “We have Santi and Djiga who is very good, don’t forget folks.”

“Djiga Bueno and Toti,” is the backline one supporter wants to see in the absence of Agbadou.

Agbadou’s stats prove how much Wolves will miss him

Should Pereira confirm he’s out for three to four weeks in Friday’s press conference, Agbadou could miss the next five games through injury, including fixtures against Everton and Southampton.

Also, with an FA Cup tie against Bournemouth sandwiched in the middle, Wolves couldn’t have lost their star defender at a worse point in the season.

As the statistics prove, Agbadou possesses qualities that are irreplaceable in defence, seeing him rank high against his position peers across Europe.

Agbadou has been a revelation since joining last month and supporters will be hoping for a speedy recovery, preferably seeing him return earlier than expected.
