Matheus Cunha praised Matheus Nunes after Wolves lost their first game of the new season to Manchester United.
Wolves fans are feeling very aggrieved today, after seeing their side somehow come away from Old Trafford with nothing.
Wolves lost 1-0 with Raphael Varane scoring the game’s only goal.
But Wolves created a plethora of chances throughout the match, but just couldn’t find that cutting edge, which has long been an issue for the team.
Right at the end, Andre Onana took out Sasa Kalajdzic and somehow the officiating team did not award a penalty.
Despite the frustrating result, there were plenty of positives to take.
And one such positive was how good Nunes looked at times last night.
Matheus Cunha praises Matheus Nunes after Wolves’ defeat to Manchester United
Cunha spoke to Wolves’ official website after last night’s defeat.

He believed the performance from the team was very good last night, and he also firmly stated that Wolves should have had a penalty.
Cunha also spoke about the performance of Nunes, one of his best friends at the club.
He said of the maestro: “We want to do everything for the team, Matheus [Nunes] also, we all know his quality, and we have this energy to keep the ball, to run, and when you come here to play against Manchester, you know it’s going to be a hard game, you know you’re going to have to defend well, and then have this chance to keep the ball like we tried to do.”
£85,000-a-week star Nunes was a little sloppy in parts of last night’s game.
But overall, he was extremely effective drifting inside from the left wing. And United’s players found him extremely difficult to contain at times.
And he worked his socks off, much to the delighted of the travelling fans.
A promising first outing of the season for Nunes
It is a pleasure to watch Nunes glide across the pitch leaving players trailing in his wake.
He is an amazing ball-carrier and Wolves need him to be doing that as often as he can.
There is just a danger, sometimes, of him overdoing it a bit.

It’s great that he backs his ability in those tight situations he finds himself in, though.
His ability is crystal clear, and he is simply going to be a huge player for Gary O’Neil this season.
