Vitor Pereira’s passion for football knows no bounds after what he did in the pub recently

Wolves fans can’t quite believe the turnaround they’ve seen at Molineux over the last couple of months.

Wolves have gone from a club bang in trouble, to the most in-form outfit in Europe, with Vitor Pereira having done a remarkable job in such a short space of times.

Pereira came in and immediately made Wolves much harder to beat, signing Emmanuel Agbadou and Marshall Munetsi who have both become regulars and important players.

Agbadou, especially, has been a game-changer.

But Pereira has just completely reconnected everyone at the club, and he now has fans eating out of the palm of his hand.

His line ‘First the points, then the pints’ has now become famous, and Pereira can often be found in any given pub in Wolverhampton, sharing in the fans’ joy after a win.

It’s clear he is already hugely popular, and journalist Liam Keen shared something that happened on Saturday that really does show Wolves are in safe hands.

It has become very clear that Pereira is deeply passionate about football management.

Pereira recently conducted a fascinating interview, in which he revealed what makes him tick, and shared how he loves to innovate.

Pereira has now conducted another intriguing interview, which took place at The Inn at Shipley on the outskirts of Wolverhampton with several journalists, after Wolves’ win over Leicester City on Saturday.

Journalist Liam Keen was there, and spoke on the E&S podcast about the interview, and shared just how passionate Pereira is about his craft, revealing the Wolves head coach spent 10 minutes ranting about the performance against Manchester United recently, despite winning the game.

He said: “He walks into the room carrying a pint, with his big, black sunglasses on. And he just sort of owns the room. He walks in and he’s like right ‘I’m here’. He’s a fascinating guy. Very, very intelligent bloke.

“Some of it I didn’t even use. But we had him for about an hour, so much content there.

“The first bit, which I haven’t even used, was, it was a very standard question, and before anyone else even got a chance to get going, he just went on a 10 minute rant about the performance at Man United.

“He was still unhappy, despite winning 1-0! And he just went on a big long technical, tactical discussion about the game. This is just the kind of bloke he is – he just lives and breathes football.”

Pereira pub rant is a very positive sign

Pereira’s popularity is sky-high at the moment, and it is very apparent that he is absolutely determined to make this stint as Wolves manager a successful one.

Pereira has almost come to English shores several times before. But it’s never quite happened for him.

Wolves turned to him, and Pereira is clearly honoured to have asked.

And Wolves now find themselves in very safe hands, because Pereira’s passion, work ethic and desire for perfection are brilliant qualities.

Pereira was obviously happy to beat United the other week. But the fact he ranted for 10 minutes to journalist in the pub shows that he clearly didn’t accept that level of performance just because Wolves had won the game – and that can only be a good thing.
