A strong end to the campaign for Wolves could create the foundation for a solid transfer window, as Vitor Pereira has high ambitions.
Wolves are Europe’s in-form team after winning six matches on the bounce, something no one could have imagined happening when Pereira replaced Gary O’Neil in December.
An incredible run in the Premier League has seen the Old Gold skyrocket up to 13th in the table, and when they visit Manchester City on Friday, they will be looking for their seventh successive victory.

With Pereira creating a special bond with the fans and Wolves playing their best football in years, the future is looking bright.
But, under the ownership of Fosun, there is always a sense of something going wrong, and that could begin during the summer transfer window.

Vitor Pereira says it’s a ‘problem’ if Wolves sell a lot of players
In recent years, Fosun has operated with a self-sustaining model, using the money from their player sales to generate profits and invest a fraction into the squad.
It’s a strategy that saw Julen Lopetegui walk out of Wolves in 2023 and Gary O’Neil direct his frustrations towards Fosun, with both managers falling foul of their methods.
However, as the club embarks on a positive chapter under Pereira, surely the owners know that selling all of their best players and not backing the manager will only lead to further apathy between the fans and ownership.
That is why Pereira has already warned Fosun that selling a lot of their players will be ‘problem’, as it will require them to ‘rebuild’ a successful squad.
“Of course, to build something strong you cannot lose a lot of players, because if you lose a lot of players we start again from the beginning,” the Portuguese boss said via Sky Sports.
“We can [of course] improve our quality in possession with different movements. We are trying to put something more in our dynamic, but we cannot lose a lot of players.
“If you lose a lot of players in the next market, it will be a problem because we need to rebuild again. We will see what happens.
“Of course, it’s normal – we can lose two or three players, but if you lose 10 it’s a problem. But I think we know [this] in the club and they want to build something strong in the future.”

The players most likely to leave Wolves
There is an acceptance that Matheus Cunha is set to leave the club this summer after earning his opportunity to play at a bigger club.
Currently, that looks like being Manchester United, who have offered Cunha a five-year contract ahead of completing a £62.5 million transfer.
Worryingly, the Brazilian isn’t the only player attracting significant interest, as Rayan Ait-Nouri could also leave Wolves as the hierarchy feel he’s earned his right to flourish in a Champions League side.
Losing both Cunha and Ait-Nouri would be huge blows, but outside of them, Andre could be a wanted man after his stellar debut Premier League campaign.
The 23-year-old has been incredible alongside Joao Gomes, who signed a new contract in April, with Wolves not needing to worry about him departing.
