Vitor Pereira is still figuring out his best starting XI, but he has been told one Wolves player has proved his worth.
Wolves haven’t been getting the results this season, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been some great performances on display.
Only Pep Guardiola has made more personnel changes than Vitor Pereira to start the season.
But one position should belong to a player who has been a revelation since returning to Molineux this summer.
Liam Keen says Hugo Bueno deserves a starting spot over David Moller Wolfe
Hugo Bueno has been on fire for Wolves as of late.
Having arrived back at the club following a loan spell in Feyenoord, there were doubts over Bueno’s future at the club.
If the opening stages of the season are anything to go by, those doubts have been put to rest. Bueno has been one of, if not the best performer for Wolves over the past two games.
Appearing on E&S’s The Keen & Judah Show, Liam Keen has made his thoughts on Bueno clear.
He said: “We had that conversation about whether it’s him, whether it’s David Moller Wolfe, how close they are. I think it’s a flip of a coin between the two of them most weeks, and I think for certain games you might see one start over the other.
“In my opinion, Bueno is just a step ahead of him. I think this performance has done him the world of good.”
The Spaniard has been electric going forward, offering a struggling Wolves attack some energy. There have previously been concerns over his defensive play, but so far, he has handled everything thrown his way.
David Moller Wolfe will have to step up if he is to start for Wolves
That Bueno should start for Wolves isn’t to say that new signing David Moller Wolfe has been bad.
He has actually looked quite solid defensively, but he just hasn’t shown the same threat going forward.
In a traditional left-back role, the Norwegian probably pips him, but the way Pereira sets up his team requires creativity from his wing-backs and Bueno clears in that department.

That’s an even more important factor when you consider Wolves’ attacking struggles to start the season.
But Moller Wolfe shouldn’t be dejected. Adjusting to the Premier League takes time, and he should fight his way back into contention in the coming weeks.
Even then, Bueno might not see the bench, as he as shown he’s more than capable of playing on the right as well.
