Vitor Pereira addressed the media on Friday afternoon ahead of Wolves’ visit to Bournemouth in the Premier League.
The Old Gold arrive at the Vitality Stadium hovering just outside the relegation places by two points, although Leicester can close the gap by beating Brentford on Friday night.
Vitor Pereira would have been encouraged by his side’s performance in Wolves’ 2-1 loss to Liverpool last weekend, as despite tasting defeat, the Wanderers dominated the second half.
The visitors pressed the Reds into submission, restricting Liverpool to zero shots on target in the second period, while looking like adding to Matheus Cunha’s wonderful strike.
Perhaps with Jorgen Strand Larsen available at Anfield, Wolves could have nicked a point. Pereira has missed the towering Norwegian since the defeat to Arsenal but luckily, he’s now offered a positive update.

Jorgen Strand Larsen is ‘ready’ to face Bournemouth but Emmanuel Agbadou is ‘unavailable’
Strand Larsen injured his hamstring in the defeat to Arsenal last month, ruling the 25-year-old out for several weeks.
Although he was expected to miss Wolves next four matches, including this weekend’s visit to Bournemouth, Strand Larsen was spotted in training on Thursday.
Now, Pereira has revealed that his important centre-forward is ‘ready’ to face the Cherries while dropping an update on some of his other stars.

While it was great news about Strand Larsen, he confirmed that Hwang Hee-chan, Emmanuel Agbadou and Rodrigo Gomes are all unavailable.
Agbadou is sidelined for three to four weeks, dealing a blow to the Wanderers, whereas Rodrigo Gomes missed the clash against Liverpool and Hwang Hee-chan suffered injury against Blackburn.
Pereira did, however, confirm that goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is available for selection after returning from his respective problem.
Strand Larsen’s stats for Wolves
Marshal Munetsi has played striker for Wolves since Strand Larsen has been out but since he’s available for selection, that experiment is likely to end.
The Norwegian has been missed due to his ability to occupy defenders, posing a threat to his opposition aerially and showcasing his killer instincts in the box
Jorgen Strand Larsen’s Premier League stats 2024/25
- 22 starts
- 7 goals
- 1.5 shots per game
- 20% goal conversion
- 2 assists
- 2 aerial duels won (41%)
- 3 big chances created
As shown by the above figures, Strand Larsen is an important player. So whilst it’s sad to lose Agbadou, their powerful striker is returning at the perfect time.
