Wolves fans are preparing to strap their seats for a thrilling summer transfer window as Vitor Pereira outlines his plans.
The first task for Wolves is to deal with the future of Matheus Cunha, who is wanted by multiple clubs after his stunning campaign in front of goal.
Cunha’s agent has already spoken to Manchester United, while several other teams are confident of triggering his £62.5 million release clause.
Wolves are used to selling their best players as it’s become a common theme in previous transfer windows, although most supporters accept that no one can stand in the Brazilian’s way.
But, fans will want clarity that the rest of their stars will remain at Molineux, and Vitor Pereira has now delivered a promising update.

Vitor Pereira has urged Fosun to keep Wolves best players
Unfortunately for Wolves, it isn’t just Cunha being touted with an exit this summer, as some other players are drawing interest from elsewhere.
Liverpool are long-term admirers of Rayan Ait-Nouri, who is currently the most in-form wing-back in the Premier League, while Andre is set to attract transfer attention after his wonderful season.
Pereira knows that for Wolves to progress up the Premier League table, keeping his best players is imperative and he’s urged Fosun not to give in to temptation by selling.
“I expect to go with Wolves to the next level, the next step,” Pereira said via the E&S. “This is what I’m thinking about.
“We don’t need a lot of money, we just need to make the right decisions and have a plan. My focus is on this team and trying to get the best results possible until the end of the season.
“Keeping almost all of the players (is important) because we have a very good group. I want to work for another level, I want to take the next step with this club.”
Gary O’Neil previously blamed Fosun for Wolves downfall
In recent months, Fosun have shown signs of backing Pereira. Wolves gave Joao Gomes a new contract as well as young defender Yerson Mosquera.
Also, in the January transfer window, Wolves were the second highest spenders behind only Manchester City after signing Emmanuel Agbadou, Nasser Djiga and Marshall Munetsi.
Although fans can never be too sure, the owners may have turned a corner recently and that bodes well for the future as Gary O’Neil once blasted Fosun for their transfer strategy.
Speaking in December 2024 after the loss to West Ham, O’Neil said: “When I arrived at this football club, they’d just collected 39 points in the Premier League. Since that moment, we’ve managed to make £200 million in player sales; we’ve sold an awful lot of Premier League players, an awful lot.
“If you go back to [Ruben] Neves, [Joao] Moutinho, [Daniel] Podence, [Adama] Traore, [Raul] Jimenez, [Diego] Costa, Nathan Collins, Pedro Neto, Max Kilman.
“We’re now not shopping in that market, we’re trying to find ones that can help the club in the future and maybe give us a little bit now. But as I’ve found in the Premier League, it’s a ruthless league, and we’re doing everything we can to get up to speed but we are being tested.”
There is hope that Fosun have learned from their lessons and now a quality manager like Pereira is on board, they will do everything in their power to keep him.
