Vitor Pereira responds to suggestions his time at Wolves is running out

Over the last couple of weeks, Vitor Pereira has been under immense pressure to deliver results, but Wolves are still winless in the Premier League.

There have been calls from many within the fanbase for Pereira to be let go, and when Chelsea scored their second on Wednesday night, chants for the head coach to be sacked ensued.

He is no doubt in the firing line right now, even if Jeff Shi currently believes Vitor Pereira is the right man to lead the club forward.

The Wolves head coach is certainly on borrowed time, as the club cannot afford to let any chance of survival slip away.

If results do not improve, the likely decision will be to replace the manager, and Vitor Pereira has now responded to suggestions his time is running out.

Vitor Pereira responds to another question about his Wolves future

Every week that Wolves do not get a win, more questions centred around Vitor Pereira’s future will pop up.

Ahead of facing Fulham, this was no different. The Old Gold head coach was asked if he feels his time at the club is running out in his pre-match press conference, and he did not give much away in his answer insisting he is only focusing on the immediate days ahead.

Pereira said, “My work is today, the present, and to spend my hours trying to find solutions to help my club. This is my life, from 7am to 7pm.”

Additionally, the head coach reiterated that those above him are still fully behind him, and that they are all ‘united’ in their goal to climb out of the bottom three.

He stated, “The people in the club are connected, united, to face this difficult moment of the season.”

Wolves have to beat Fulham on Saturday, or else the mood around Molineux will drop much more than it has done already.

Former Wanderer Dave Edwards has compared the feelings at the club to the 2012/2013 season in which Wolves were relegated to League One.

It is a bleak time for the Old Gold, but the players are continuing to show fight to change the situation. David Moller Wolfe sent a resounding message to fans ahead of Fulham.

Vitor Pereira’s squad travel to London for a 3 pm GMT kick-off against the Cottagers at Craven Cottage on Saturday, where anything but a win would be deemed a poor result.
