Wolves will travel to Old Trafford on Sunday for a Premier League showdown against Manchester United. The Old Gold need just five more points to seal their top-flight survival.
Wolves are hoping to do the league double over Manchester United — something they’ve not done since the 1979-80 season.
And for Vitor Pereira, that would mean adding salt to the wounds of a compatriot.

Vitor Pereira makes Ruben Amorim comparison
Pereira will lineup against fellow Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim on Sunday.
The pair have faced their own challenges this campaign with both sides camped inside the league’s bottom half.
However, Pereira believes the adversity both he and his rival have faced is contributing to them becoming better tacticians.
“He is a talented manager,” he told the Wolves official website.
“He’s facing an increase in his level, because like myself, when I came here to this league, we face different problems, bigger problems, and we need to create the formulas to face the problems, and this is the opportunity to increase our level.
“I believe Amorim is a very talented manager, but he’s facing problems that allow him to improve and take the step for another level. This is what the Premier League can bring to us.”
Amorim comes into Sunday’s clash following a dramatic Europa League extra-time comeback win against Lyon.
No room for complacency
Despite Thursday’s remarkable European result, it is Wolves who are the side in form.
Another win and Pereira will set a new club record of five wins on the bounce.
And although Premier League survival is virtually guaranteed, the Old Gold cannot afford to take their foot off the gas just yet.
Despite rating Amorim highly, Pereira will want to inflict maximum punishment when his side take to the Old Trafford pitch later this weekend.
Sunday’s match at Old Trafford is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. (BST) but has not been selected for live broadcast in the UK.
