Wolves fans are excited to see Jhon Arias in action, as the club’s marquee signing of the summer so far.
It hasn’t been the best of summer for Wolves up to now, with a host of players leaving and only a few coming in.
But Jhon Arias is one of three additions for Wolves, and the feeling is that the Colombian could quickly become a real favourite at Molineux.
Arias only arrived a few weeks ago, but he has already made his mark in pre-season, scoring within minutes of coming on against Girona.
Arias is a player who is ready to make an impact now, and fans hope he can be as impactful as the last player to wear the number 10 shirt.
Vitor Pereira has been speaking about Arias, and has one specific request of fans.
Vitor Pereira wants Wolves fans to be patient with Jhon Arias

Arias was a player Pereira directly recommended to the leadership team.
He had seen him whilst managing in Brazil, and Arias is a player he feels can really help his side kick on.
He is perhaps a slightly different kind of player to Matheus Cunha. But his goals and assists numbers at Fluminense were very good, and Wolves have also said they received resoundingly positive character references about Arias.
But Pereira feels Wolves fans must show patience with Arias as he manages the transition from the Brazilian league to the Premier League.
He said: “We must be aware that Arias came from a different a different league and needs time to adapt. He needs time to understand because the Premier League is very technical, but it’s very physical also.
“The pace has a high intensity, and it will take a bit of time to adapt. But first of all for Arias is to connect to his teammates, connect to the manager, to my staff, and to understand what we are suggesting as a team how to play, how to help the team with his qualities.
“But he has a lot of qualities and I am sure that he will help us a lot.”

Wolves fans must temper expectations over Arias

Pereira is right, expectations ought to be tempered over Arias.
He is a top player and has been brilliant over in Brazil with Fluminense, but the Premier League is a much higher standard and he will need time to get used to the intensity and quality of opposition.
Arias has also admitted he needs to improve his English, so that may also have an impact on how quickly he is able to settle.
We saw how Andre took a bit of time to acclimatise following his move last year.
It may well be that we don’t see the very best of Arias until the second half of the season. That’s why it will be important for players like Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Hwang Hee-chan – who know the Premier League well – to step up to the plate.
