The usual suspects, such as Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh, will no doubt be the main cause for concern due to their passing and dribbling abilities.

Pereira can use Jackson Tchatchoua to combat the Japanese winger. Meanwhile, Hugo Bueno will need to be on top form in order to combat the Gambian.

Joel Veltman is out injured, which is a boost for Wolves ahead of Sunday.

However, there is another man Vitor Pereira should be worried about, and he has started to find good form.

Danny Welbeck loves playing against Wolves

Danny Welbeck is a man on form, having netted two goals off the bench against Chelsea.

The English striker has no doubt put himself in contention to start against Wolves, and that could be a big worry for Vitor Pereira.

Brighton have plenty of talent in their squad, but the 34-year-old seems to love to score against the Wanderers.

Welbeck scored in both fixtures against the Old Gold last season, and his record against Wolves is quite good.

In 16 games he has scored 7 goals and assisted a further two. His best performance against the Molineux side came in a 6-0 thrashing back in 2022/2023 where he scored twice and got an assist in just 56 minutes.

In fact, he has scored more goals against Wolves than any other side besides West Ham, whom he’s also netted seven past.

However, he has played the Hammers eight more times.

Vitor Pereira must stick with the same defence

It is still up in the air if Welbeck is going to start, but after two goals against a team like Chelsea, you’d suspect he has earned the chance.

He has started just three of the Seagulls’ games this season so far, and if he plays, Vitor Pereira will need to have a solid defence.

The back four against both Everton and Tottenham produced the best displays this season for Wolves.

Unfortunately, Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson has given bad news about Matt Doherty, and the defender will be out for quite some time.

This means Pereira will not be able to play the exact same back line, but he should still select as close to it as possible.

The likes of Santiago Bueno, Ladislav Krejci and Hugo Bueno must start.

Jackson Tchatchoua is the obvious contender to replace Doherty, and they’ll need to be on their best game in order to stop a rampant Brighton, who have scored 24 goals in all competitions this season.
