Wolves are counting down the minutes until the January transfer window closes amid unwanted speculation.
Before the window opened, it was clear that Wolves wanted to sign a centre-back, which Vitor Pereira delivered in Emmanuel Agbadou.
Pereira admitted he wants two additional signings after capturing the Ivorian, identifying the need for another defender and a midfielder.
In a window that specifically needed to be about incomings, Wolves have found themselves in the midst of chaos, with the latest update not making things any easier.

Vitor Pereira admits his transfer wish is unlikely to be met
What started as a strong transfer window quickly turned bad, as Mario Lemina refused to play revealing that he wants to leave the club this winter.
The former captain isn’t the only player to be causing drama at Molineux, as Matheus Cunha has triggered a transfer circus with significant interest in the Brazilian reported.
Amid the rumours of those who could leave the club, Wolves representatives have been scouting in France but, it remains unclear who could arrive before the end of the month.
As stated, Pereira is desperate to sign not only a defender, but a midfielder too to support if Lemina is to leave.
While the Wolves manager’s wishes are clear, Pereira shared a concerning update on the transfer front as the Old Gold scan the market for a number six.
“In a perfect world, yes,” Pereira said when asked if he needs two midfielders to arrive if Lemina leaves, before sharing the likelihood of such happening.
“I think it’s not possible. In this moment, it’s not possible,” he regrettably stated, via Express and Star.
It remains to be seen who Wolves can recruit this winter however, by the manager’s early assessment, it looks like once again, the squad is going to be short by the end of the window.
Same old transfer story for Wolves
Wolves had a midfielder lined up but at the final hurdle, Manu Silva decided to join Benfica, handing Pereira a real transfer blow.
Unfortunately, the Portuguese is at risk of joining several managers before him by not having their transfer wishes granted at Molineux.
Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |

The same happened last season, as Gary O’Neil pleaded for several signings but was still left short in crucial positions.
The difference this term is that Wolves are at risk of relegation, putting additional pressure on Jeff Shi and Fosun to show support for the squad in the transfer market.
Whether the level of support Pereira desires is delivered is another issue, with the market beginning to feel like make or break for the Old Gold.
