Another defeat for Wolves on Saturday afternoon compounded the miserable start to the season for the Old Gold.
They looked on their way to picking up their first points of the season when Ladislav Krejci ran onto Fer Lopez’s excellent pass to make it 1-0.
However, a first half collapse saw them concede three goals in fifteen minutes, and two of the goals came from mistakes.
Emmanuel Agbadou has been frustrating fans recently, and the Ivorian was at fault for conceding the Whites’ third.
Vitor Pereira has now delivered his verdict on the player’s performance.
Vitor Pereira claims Emmanuel Agbadou did a lot of things well vs Leeds United
Vitor Pereira has been speaking to the press after Wolves picked up a fifth consecutive defeat in the Premier League.
The Portuguese manager was asked about Emmanuel Agbadou, and Pereira responded saying, “With Agbadou, last season he was one of the best players The game today, he won a lot of duels, he did a lot of things well, but made one mistake.”
He continues by saying that he does not want to place blame on any of his players, as that would only further reduce confidence in the squad.
While Vitor Pereira may be correct in defending his player publicly, he must do something to address his poor form behind closed doors.
The head coach has admitted he expects more from Agbadou, and now is the time to start trying to force it out of the centre-back.
Wolves’ form is more than just individual mistakes
While Wolves have made countless errors this season, their poor results are down to a whole lot more than that.
The Old Gold are wasteful in front of goal and are struggling to create chances as well.
The lack of quality up top is really harming the club, and they are sorely missing players such as Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait Nouri.

However, the transfer window is closed and, despite Jeff Shi’s thoughts on the summer, the squad is not in a great place.
Wolves will need to use the January window wisely, but whether Fosun sanction any deals remains to be seen.
If not, Vitor Pereira will need to find solutions from within.
