Wolves boss Vitor Pereira addressed the media on Friday afternoon ahead of their FA Cup clash against Bristol City.
Pereira’s men will head into the fixture at Ashton Gate with one new player in the squad after Wolves confirmed the signing of Emmanuel Agbadou on Thursday.
Agbadou, who signed a 4.5-year contract at Wolves, will be available for selection this weekend and promises to be the quality centre-back the Wanderers craved.
Now the dust is beginning to settle on the 27-year-old’s arrival at Molineux, Wolves fans are asking for more signings to be made.
There is an inkling among the fanbase that another centre-back is needed, with Wolves failing in an approach for Chelsea’s Renato Veiga.
However, Pereira also has his mind set on adding to another position in his first-team squad.

Vitor Pereira wants to sign a new midfielder for Wolves
Surprisingly, when the 56-year-old was asked about the club’s latest transfer stance, he didn’t mention a lot about centre-backs and instead said it was ‘important’ they signed a midfielder.
“We are working. The market is about opportunities. It depends if we have the chance to move for another midfielder, which is important for us. We will see what we can do,” Pereira said via journalist Liam Keen on X.
Pereira’s desire to sign a new player in the engine room isn’t surprising. Mario Lemina could leave Wolves this month with links to Al Shabab while Luke Cundle is wanted by Swansea City.
While Cundle is yet to feature for a single minute this term, Lemina is a prominent figure in the dressing room, recently losing his captain’s armband to Nelson Semedo in December.
Further, Lemina has also issued his desire to leave Wolves, and facilitating a transfer for the 31-year-old would open the door for another player to join in his place.
Wolves would be wise to cash in on Mario Lemina
Lemina is approaching the end of his Wolves contract and the club would be wise to cash in on the Gabon international this month, instead of letting him leave on a free transfer in June.
It was reported that Wolves wanted £5m for Lemina, which seems a reasonable asking price for someone with six months left on his deal.
Many supporters would agree that the former Juventus star has seen his form drop off in the 2024/25 campaign, with the Old Gold suffering as a result.

Lemina made his first appearance of the campaign on Monday, coming off the bench in the loss to Nottingham Forest but he did himself no justice with his display, reminding fans why he could leave.
He just hasn’t looked at the races in most games this term and perhaps doesn’t possess all the attributes to thrive in a Pereira system.
Indeed, with Andre, Joao Gomes and Tommy Doyle preferred over him alongside Pereira’s clamour to sign a midfielder, Wolves No. 5 could be forced out the door.
