Video: Wolves striker Diego Costa hilariously pushes Craig Dawson over after opening goal vs Palace

Diego Costa isn’t just a nightmare for opposition defenders – he’s also a menace to his own teammates.

The striker started once again for Wolves last night in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Julen Lopetegui decided to turn to the veteran once again, despite the quick turnaround from the weekend game with Leicester City.

He led the line, with Matheus Cunha supporting, and did superbly once again.

Costa showed a brilliant touch at Molineux against the Eagles. He ran the channels, and just made life generally very difficult for Joachim Andersen and Marc Guehi.

He has rightly been coming in for a lot of praise since the game.

Julen Lopetegui was delighted with the star’s performance. And Ruben Neves also spoke very highly of him live on BT Sport just after full-time.

It is brilliant to see Costa being so influential for Wolves.

Some wondered if it would every come, following a slow start.

But clearly, he just needed to get up to speed with his fitness.

It’s clear he still has that same hunger and competitive spirit he had many years ago at Chelsea.

And Costa clearly still has that mischievous side, with Wolves today releasing footage of the celebrations from the first goal yesterday evening.

The angle shows (0:15) Costa hilariously pushing over Craig Dawson – who is one of the bigger players in Wolves’ squad – after the ball crossed the line.

He then takes one bemused glance at the Englishman, before sprinting off to join the celebrations.

Diego Costa footage shows his personality and explains why all the players love him

Costa is just crazy, and it is little wonder everyone at the club loves him.

It is anyone’s guess what the reason was for him pushing Dawson over.

But he doesn’t need an excuse. He is Diego Costa, and while he’s playing like this and Wolves are winning games he can do what he likes.
