Vitor Pereira has spoken about Wolves’ January transfer business and explained why the club decided to sign the players they did.
Wolves were the Premier League’s second-biggest spenders in the mid-season window. Pereira added three new additions to his squad ahead of an important second half of the season.
Emmanuel Agbadou joined Wolves at the start of the year before Nasser Djiga and Marshall Munetsi were unveiled on Deadline Day.
And the Wolves manager has spoken about what qualities the trio have that inspired the Old Gold to splash out.

Vitor Pereira explains Wolves’ transfer policy
Agbadou, Djiga and Munetsi’s arrivals have sparked excitement. Although Djiga has yet to make his debut, the trio look to be great additions.
And speaking recently about what attributes players have to have to be considered, Pereira revealed that along with good technical skills and being tactically smart, his targets need to have the personality to fit the squad dynamic.
“We need to bring players here who are technically and tactically good, but also their personality is very important. Very important team unity,” the 56-year-old told reporters ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth.
Togetherness
While Wolves arguably have just one world-class player; Matheus Cunha, Pereira will know the importance of togetherness.
The best sides don’t rely on individual brilliance — they work hard for each other, and that is obviously the culture the former Corinthians boss is trying to create at Molineux.
Fans don’t mind seeing the side lose matches, but what they cannot stand is a lack of effort and cohesion, so Pereira is understandably keen to raise the standards in the hope he can go again after keeping the side in the Premier League.
