Out of the four teams at the bottom of the Premier League, Wolves, despite suffering defeat last time out, are still the favourites to stay up.
Wolves lost 2-1 at home to Fulham on Tuesday night — a win would’ve seen them move eight points clear of the relegation zone.

It wasn’t to be though, and with Ipswich Town playing Manchester United on Wednesday and Leicester City facing West Ham the following evening, the Old Gold might have got away with one, but Nelson Semedo thinks the Wolves first team cannot keep dropping points, especially at home.

Nelson Semedo wants Molineux fortress
Wolves have won just three matches at Molineux so far this season. Their home form is a huge contributor to their 17th placed league position.
And with Fulham the latest team to take three points from Wolves, Semedo has reminded his teammates of the importance of making their home ground a fortress.
“We cannot slow down now. We have to carry on. We made a very good game against Bournemouth, but it was important to win this game as well. We knew that we were five points clear, but that’s not enough. We have to keep going. We cannot slow down now,” the full-back told the official Wolves website.
“We have to carry on. We have to keep getting some points, especially when we play at home. We have a couple games now to come that are very important. Today was one of them. We couldn’t win this game and now rest and think about the next game already.”
Determined to keep the side up, captain Semedo wants to see more resilience when playing in front of his own fans.
Remaining home games
Wolves have six home games left before the end of the season, including a potential six-pointer against Leicester City on April 26th.
Their other upcoming Premier League home fixtures are:
- Mar 8: Wolves vs Everton
- Apr 1: Wolves vs West Ham
- Apr 12: Wolves vs Spurs
- Apr 26: Wolves vs Leicester
- May 10: Wolves vs Brighton
- May 26: Wolves vs Brentford
Wolves will look at their remaining fixtures list and consider several matches winnable on paper, but many were expecting them to take something off Fulham, and that didn’t happen, so Vitor Pereira knows the side’s talking has to be done on the pitch.
A huge factor in the Premier League’s race for survival will be the difficulty of the Foxes’ remaining fixtures. Leicester City still have to play five of the league’s top six sides.
