‘Utter disgrace’ – Wolves fans astonished over what they’ve just read about Gary O’Neil

All eyes are now on Gary O’Neil, after Wolves crashed to a shocking 4-0 defeat against Everton.

Wanderers needed to respond in a big way after the awful 4-2 loss to Bournemouth, but put in a diabolical performance at Goodison Park.

Wolves showcased more terrible defending, with set-pieces the team’s undoing on Merseyside.

Everton went into last night’s game under huge pressure given recent results and their upcoming fixture list.

But it was a stroll in the park for them, as they outplayed and outfought Wolves.

The defence was all at sea as it so often has been this season and the way Wolves conceded the goals was just shocking.

As expected this morning, there is a lot of speculation about O’Neil and his position as first-team manager.

Fans chanted against O’Neil at Goodison Park last night, and it’s starting to feel as though his time at Molineux is up. But one big claim has now been made.

There’s been one claim this morning that the current plan is to keep O’Neil in charge for the West Ham United game on Monday.

That comes as a big shock, as there was an extremely big reaction last night from the fanbase, with many calling for him to go.

It’s also claimed ‘the hierarchy are aware he has lost the support of many match-going fans’, and sources close to O’Neil fear he is running out of time.

Wolves fans livid over O’Neil claim

On social media, many Wolves fans have been reacting this morning to the claim that O’Neil could actually get the West Ham game.

It’s not something many thought they’d wake up to today, given how awful last night’s defeat was.

O’Neil cannot get West Ham game

It is totally understandable that fans have reacted so negatively towards this claim about O’Neil.

Surely, there’s enough evidence now to suggest he is incapable of turning things around.

Wolves cannot defend and are hurtling towards relegation with him in charge. 36 goals conceded in just 14 games in completely unacceptable.

If Wolves can ship four goals against Everton, a side who’ve struggled to score goals all season, then they can ship even more against any other side in the league.

Wolves fans will slightly be relieved by another claim this morning that the club are now looking at potential replacements, and hopefully one will come in in the coming days.
