It was a signing that came rather out of the blue, and one that has gone down well with supporters.

Wolves legend Steve Bull has also thrown his backing behind the move.

With Pedro Neto set to miss the opening weeks of the 2021/22 season, Trincao could well be seeing regular minutes.

Although he will have competition in the form of Daniel Podence and Adama Traore.

But he should be fairly involved under Bruno Lage.

Trincao had to observe a period of self-isolation following his move to England.

But that is now over, and yesterday the 21-year-old trained with his new teammates for the first time.

He has now posted on Instagram, sending a message to Wolves supporters.

He wrote simply: “I’m really happy to be here. Let’s go.”

Supporters have sent their messages of support and also excitement.

There was also a reply of emojis from reported Wolves target Joao Palhinha.
