One of Wolves’ new signings has caught the eye of Tommy Doyle, who commented on his latest Instagram post.
It has been a productive summer so far for Wolves.
After a month of pre-season, the players are looking good and have won three matches. Gary O’Neil now has pretty much a full squad at his disposal, following the returns of Jose Sa, Nelson Semedo, Joao Gomes and Pedro Neto from their extended breaks.
Fans have been loving how things have been going.
The performance against West Ham on Saturday night was particularly encouraging, and one man who really stood out was Rodrigo Gomes, who grabbed his first two goals since signing.
Rodrigo looks to be a top prospect, and Tommy Doyle sent him a nice message after his exploits against the Hammers.
Tommy Doyle impressed by new Wolves signing Rodrigo Gomes

Wolves fought off competition from Atletico Madrid to sign Rodrigo, after he had really impressed out on loan at Estoril last season.
The youngster shone playing as a wing-back, scoring nine goals and making eight assists in 36 games.
The early indications are that Rodrigo will be playing higher up the pitch for Wolves, with Gary O’Neil seemingly ready to move to a back four which obviously uses more traditional full-backs.
He can play on either side and so far, the signs have been very promising.
Yesterday, Rodrigo posted on Instagram to mark the fact he had scored his first goals for Wolves.
The 20-year-old wrote: “What a night!! I’m so happy I scored my first goals with @wolves shirt. Thank you fans for all the support, see you in Baltimore!”

As expected, there were many comments from fans praising Rodrigo.
But there were also some messages from his teammates, including from Doyle, who has clearly been impressed with what he’s seen from Rodrigo so far. He wrote ‘Good start brother!! Let’s keep going’.
Spoken like a leader

This is great to see from Doyle, who is definitely making himself out to be one of the leaders in that dressing room, despite only being 22 and having only been at the club for a year.
The midfielder, who took the captain’s armband for the final stages of the West Ham game, has apparently been really good with the young players so far in pre-season and that is refreshing.
It certainly has been a good start for Rodrigo, who already looks like he could develop into a star at Molineux.
Hopefully, he can enjoy a similar rise to that of Pedro Neto, whom he has already been compared to.
It is not out of the question that Neto could still leave Wolves this summer. If that happens, then fans will hope Rodrigo can step into his compatriot’s shoes.
